Do I have to pay to get in the Museum?No, admission to the Museum is free but donations are greatly appreciated.

What is there to do there? Tons of things! Not only does the Museum have two full floors of artifacts, they are located in a prestigious house owned by the 28th Vice-President of the United States. The Museum also has an Annex which hosts events and also has a display of Miami Indians and of a log cabin, as well as temporary exhibits. The Research and Education Center is a great place to look up your family history as well as county history!

I thought the Thomas Marshall house was in North Manchester? It is. The North Manchester Thomas Marshall House is where the Vice-President was born. Our House was where Thomas Marshall lived as an adult for most of his life.

Can I donate something to the Museum? Of course you can. We appreciate all forms of donations that have some kind of Whitley County history and items that have a unique or personal story behind them.
